| The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is reconstructing the at-grade railroad crossing surfaces, making minor realignments to the railroad tracks, and installing new active signal warning systems for the railroad crossings on South Main Street (Vermont Route 14) and Hill Street in Barre City, VT. The Barre City projects will also involve rebuilding the roadway approaches to the crossings and adding new signage and pavement markings. VTrans is also upgrading the railroad crossing at Quarry Hill Road in the Town of Barre, VT. The targeted construction schedule for all three projects is from spring to fall 2026.
